zenchicken
Just installed 10.4.8 from the good ISO and all working good except Internet! My NIC is apparently recognized (Marvell 88E8053 PCI-E Gb LAN controller) but I can't connect to the internet or see other computers on my network. I'm connecting to a D-Link DSL-504T router, using DHCP doesn't give me an IP. Doing it manually gives me a "green orb" in the Network Preferences but no Internet or Lan connectivity either. Can't even ping the router! It was working perfectly fine with 10.4.7... Booting the same computer into Win XP works just fine with DHCP... What am I missing? Mac OSX Coder
Luckily for you, somebody already did something like this. I don't know if this will work for YOUR motherboard, but I do have the same marvell, and once I did the update it worked fine for me. You should backup and try, no gurantees but try it Thanks to planetbeing! http://forum.insanelymac.com/inde x.php?showtopic=12933&hl=LAN - P.S. Im back after several months of disappearing
zenchicken
Thank you very much for the answer (and welcome back!). Unfortunately this did not work for me... does nothing. "Built In Ethernet" still not working.
