10.4.8 JaS' USB and Internet

Hey everybody.

 

I have installed the 10.4.8 JaS' DVD with Semthex kernel and I have some problems I want to share with you.

1. my USB doesn't work. I tried re-installing the OS twice, the first time with USB fix and the second time without it, but no success.
   
2. my Internet Connection is completely gone.
   

Does anybody know hot to fix these problems? I wouldn't feel like re-installing everything again and again, because I have the feeling it will not work anyway.

Would it be better to use the old kernel DVD???
