macmanmatty
Now I keep seeing videos , blogs, charts , and lots of impressive looking numbers saying how ryzen 1700 and it's 8 real and 16 virtual cores totally kick i7's 6700 / 7700 4 real / 8 virtual cores at everything except gaming and, I do zero gaming. Does the same hold true for hackintosh? I bought a cheap used i7 6700k (scored a deal) and could sell that and motherboard for it if ryzen would that much better and stable. I bought the 6700k because I heard it work well with osx and amd chips did not. but here are some questions. Would I as the user who likes to keep 20 browser tabs open , download files, while processing / encoding audio, programming / debugging , listening to music all while running other programs such as email, and ical see a real benefit from ryzens 8 / 16 cores on a hackintosh? Can mac osx 10.12 use all 8 / 16 cores that ryzen has? Is it stable? Will it blow my i7 out of the water at multi tasking? Will my GT 740 graphics card work out of the box so I can get mac osx set up on AMD ? Since my plywood case is just about done 67 lb plywood case that can will hold upto 29 hard drives is just about finished I can make the switch if it would be a lot better.
