C. Em
Wassup everyone, I recently upgraded my machine. ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe AMD Athlon 64 +3400 2GB DDR Ram ATI Radeon x1300 Pro Im trying to install osx 10.4.7 The wikipedia said that i can install without any problem because all of my hardware should be compatible. I've tried installing nativelty on a separate HardDrive and installating necessary patches for installation. The installation seems like its going fine. It copies all of the base system files. As soon as it starts the essentials installation it stops, and says that an error occurred please restart installation. Can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong? Rammjet
The installer may be having difficulty reading the DVD. Reburn the DVD at the slowest speed possible. If available, use a different brand of media and a different type of media (dvd-r, dvd+r, dvd-rw, dvd+rw) Verify that your DVD drive has the latest firmware. Perhaps your laser lens in the DVD drive needs cleaned. If all of that fails, then your iso may be corrupt. Download the iso again.
C. Em
i'll try it again. but its strange that i used this same dvd on another machine and it works fine. I've tried burning my iso on different dvd media . Its giving me the same error on the same part of the install.
jthunder
Did reburning the ISO work to solve this message? I am getting the same message on an ASUS A8N-SLI Premium.
