benrothwell
I have the system spec: ASUS PL5D2-VM Pentium 830 D Processor 1 GIG RAM Seagate SATA 320g Hard Drive I am trying to install the Jas 10.4.7 image through VMWare, however have stumbled across some difficulties. Intially, I loaded the install just fine, and I got to the installation program, however, VMWare gave me some error concerning the guest OS requiring to restart. From then on in, I have not been able to get anywhere. As it stands, my install hangs on : APPLE16x50UARTSync1: Detected 16550AF/C/CF FIFO=16 MaxBaud=115200 ACPI: Button drive prevents system sleep Anyone know my next step? The option for loading darwin is just -v at the moment
benrothwell
Right, by reinstalling VMWare I managed to get into the actual installation "proper". However, with around 11 minutes to go, and whilst installing iCal - the guest os closed the cpu and so I had to restart, and got no joy because the partition had been mangled according to VMware. Anyone shed any light on what may cause this?
Mils
i got the ACPI error a couple of times, when you are booting the CD/ISO type in -v platform=X86pc The platform command removed the ACPI error
benrothwell
This seems to just stick it at ACPI System State [s0 S5] S0
