Ok guys, ive tried installing this every way i can..

Im dual booting it with xp using the acronis os slector..

Googling my cpu says its can do sse3 instructions..

My problem..

I can boot form the dvd, install it, using the -v the only error i get is firewire, now i dont even thing i have that..

The install process is seamless and works like a charm, in customize i first slected sse3 and the 10.4.6 combo update/wireless networking and that was it..

It all installed nicely, i rebooted, acronis loaded, i found the os using the os seletor, double clicked, it goes to LOADING Darwing os 86, the grey mac screen comes up with the logo, it then goes to the blue screen, i see an arrow cursor and then thats it..

I re-installed it again using sse2, same thing.

I re-installed it again using just sse2 and no combo update same thing

again using sse3 no combo same thing

and when rebooting from acronis it dosnt give me the option anywhere to -v -x or type anything..

This is really frustrating as it took 2weeks to download the iso, and i seeded over 10gb killing my internets :)

Sorry for the long post, any help would be great.

edit: yes i did do a search, afew people had similar problems but there wasnt any solid answer..

Wierd...I had the same problem using 10.4.7 DVD...I re-downloaded the ISO and new one worked fine.

Boot in safe mode...I think for same mode you need to enter -x

-------

EDIT: Try installing just OS X. Backup all your windows stuff, and format the partition to just os X.

Do a clean install, Pick the combo update, and SSE3 add-on.

to back up my windows, ill have to buy an external hdd, as the windows partition is 100gb, and mostly used.

ill try again tho, ill format the os x partition, and try again, if not i guess ill just have to download another iso, bahh.

took long enough to get this one..
