dasepsilon
first of all thanks to all guys there for making osx run so smooth on intel. i have now running an almost perfect system on the wellknown asrock 915g dual board, but i've the following problem: every dns resolution take several seconds. i'm behind a router, and using dhcp, but e.g. windows doesn't have this problem at all. this makes browsing the internet a real pain. i know this problem from suse linux, where the resolution was simply to kill the ipv6 module. but deactivating ipv6 in the network preferences doesn't help in osx. besides at times osx boots with 800x600 or 80hz because it does not recognize my display (it didn't do even on ppc). but changing com.apple.boot.plist somehow always results in a non-booting system (it immediately reboot after the boot menu). i've added the lines <string>Kernel Flags</string> <key>"Graphics Mode"="1024x768x24@72"</key> anyone knows why? sorry if any of these questions have already been answered. (yes, i tried the search button ) thanks in advance, das epsilon Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/3201-slow-network-dns-resolution-on-asrock-915gv/ Share on other sites
