Hello I want to  Make my since built AMD computer into a Hackintosh I've been trying for a while but always had issue's not even getting past the first load of the USB I don't know if it's the kernel not load or what but I just want to restart and start from scratch with help from the forum I've been a bit edgy on wanting to use the forums but I guess I will now.

My specs are on my profile and I also have MacBook3,1 running lion to do everything on.

Yep your system looks like you can get it working.

  • AMD FX6300 has SSE4.1/4.2 instructions which means you can use the current AMD kernel for Sierra without issues. I just did a Sierra install on one of my PCs that has an FX6100.
  • Your LAN card is supported via AtherosE2200Ethernet.kext.
  • Audio you can probably get working through VoodooHDA. Even though your motherboard's audio codec is ALC1150 it communicates differently than the one on motherboards with Intel chipsets on it, so typical fixes for it won't work the same.

Making the install media basically consists of following the BaseSystem.dmg imaging technique instead of createinstallmedia as you need to be able to replace the kernel on the resulting install media.

Here's a link to a thread covering it for El Capitan but it's pretty much the same with Sierra: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/310098-el-capitan-install-preparation/

Don't expect this to be easy, especially for AMD machines.

I've followed that one pretty well before with the sierra the issue is I end up with this 20170105_202421.jpg

Oh well that's nice my image is upside down some how

My guess is you're still booting prelinkedkernel that's was built off the vanilla kernel, not the AMD one. After you replace the kernel file I recommend running

sudo rm /Volumes/OS\ X\ Base\ System/System/Library/PrelinkedKernel/prelinkedkernel && sudo kextcache -u /Volumes/OS\ X\ Base\ System

just to be sure that you're using the new kernel with that.

Also you're using Clover, not Enoch as the bootloader as shown in the vid. You can use either one but I found I had to go with Enoch in order to get USB fully working so I recommend using that a well.

As you said about enoch how would  I convert my config.plist to the Enoch style? and what extras do I need to worry about I got so use to using clover I forgot how to set up enoch

I'm also guessing I'd replace "OS\ X\ Base" with my drive name?

If you followed the instructions with imaging BaseSystem.dmg to the USB it would've been named "OS X Base System" so don't understand why you're saying it's different. And the Enoch config is included in the zip file in the thread I gave you the link to.

In that zip they still use the old MacPro4,1 smbios.plist that's not supported in Sierra so use this one for iMac14,2 instead. Same for the kernel - use the link to the Sierra kernel I gave in my first post here instead of the one that is included in the zip.

smbios.plist.zip
