I have been using a clean DVD install of JaS 10.4.7 (SSE3) for the past week, and had to patch my graphics card with Callisto v3 and then Koverg 0.2 to get the CI/QE. I have an ATI Radeon X600 and it was fine, except for the usual mouse tearing. Then.... This morning, I updated to 10.4.8 using the latest JaS 10.4.8 Intel combo update (SSE3) and it booted with a black screen. After re-instating my backed-up Extensions directory, and trying things step by step, I have established that:- 1. Callisto v3 patch works if I re-apply, which gives me the correct resolution. 2. If then re-apply the Koverg patch, I get the black screen of death again. Each time I experiment, it always comes down to the Koverg patch causing the issue. As I said, this has only happened after moving from 10.4.7 to 10.4.8 today. Unless someone can think of anything, I will either have to live without CI/QE on 10.4.8, or wipe clean and re-install with the original 10.4.7 DVD. Has anyone else had the same problem with 10.4.8 not liking the Koverg ATI Radeon 9700 patch? Any suggestions?
