pawel.jasinski
hi, I have a unlocked vmware 12.1.1 running on ubuntu 16.04.1. As a guest I have osx 10.11.6 The guest is configured to use NAT Recently I have noticed, that some downloads starts and never completed. I don't get a timeout, it is there just sitting idle. The connections are there but no communication take place, other than keep alive. It doesn't happen in the same place during download, it happens almost always, I have seen it only once to get through. I have noticed it using 'pod setup' and 'brew update'. Neither host, nor other vms with NAT, experience the problem. I am using the same test cases. If I switch network to Bridge, problem goes away. Changing internet provider, or speed doesn't make a difference. Changing interface on the host (wifi, lan, tethered iphone) make no difference. Updating vmware tools to latest version didn't make a difference. Turning on/off ipv6 in NAT/guest didn't make a difference. Now, I made a copy of vm and started upgrade to sierra, you can see, I am getting desperate ... Did anybody experience similar problem? Any help or comments are greatly appreciated. pawel.jasinski
short update. The underlying command which hangs is git-remote-https. Perhaps this is a problem with git triggered by NAT configuration of a network.
