ROFISH
I'm getting a constant 100% CPU usage while something is constantly being written to the hard drive. top nor Activity Monitor tells me what it is. I'm using Myzar 10.4.5. (When I boot, it says something like VIAATA wouldn't load.) GBK.Xscape
not sure what it could be but the best bet would be to upgrade to the 10.4.7 jas iso repack. he has made a 10.4.8 install dvd but it had problems and took it off. he is fixing it now and it will be redistributed shortly. EDIT-guess i wasnt wrong. i looked up sse4 on wikipedia and people like newegg have mistakenly labled some processors sse4 when they are really sse3. sse4 isnt set to come out until 2008. ROFISH
I updated to 10.4.6 and then 10.4.7 and that fixed the problem for anybody searching for this. It fixed the 100% CPU problem. (I still have the VIAATA thing when I boot, but I attribute that to the SATA drivers trying and failing.)
