klepp0906
EDIT Fixed! ha! 6 hours later. For anyone who runs into a potential issue in the future and has already done the aforementioned and been through the manual reinstallation of apple usb drivers etc.. services! some of the VMware services were not running. fixed em and GG. now i know why NAT wasnt working either ;P ------------------------------------------------------- so once upon a time, it worked fine. Today i got around to updating my el capitan guest to sierra and took the time to install xcode as well. I proceeded to connect my iphone and nothing. nada. It wont show up anywhere, not even itunes. I checked the USB Bus in system information and it shows the virtual kb and virtual mouse, but no iphone to be found. Ive tried with it set to usb 2.0 & 3.0 (in the past changing from 3.0 to 2.0 fixed it - not this time) It shows up in windows but no luck in the vm. Ive installed the newest itunes, ive installed the newest vmware tools. Ive tried disconnecting, taking a picture, reconnecting. I'm now at a loss and its dramatically lowering the usefulness of running osx in the first place! willing to try anything at this point. (using apple brand cable and tried multiple usb ports as well fwiw) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/318209-little-help-with-a-usbvm-problem-ive-spent-half-my-day-working-on-this/ Share on other sites
