mnfesq Posted November 18, 2016 Share Posted November 18, 2016 You can't do it using AppleHDA. I use VoodooHDA and have front, top and bottom speakers all working. I'm not sure what version you have of the HP Envy but here's my VoodooHDA.kext. You need to patch the nodes correctly to get all of your speakers to be recognized and then you need to make a multi-output device using Audio Midi Setup to get all of your speakers to work together because the subwoofer and top speakers work together as a separate audio device from your front speakers.
