Hello all,

First, I have to say thank you to all who have put in so much work into this project and making it easier for a n00b to get OSX installed on a PC. Now my problem.

I can get OSX installed on my PC no problem. Boots up natively without a hitch. I am using JaS 10.4.7 install DVD. But once I get it installed, I have no network. I am trying to figure out which route to take to fix the problem. When I look at the specs on my motherboards manufacturers website, it says I have a Marvell 88E1121 ethernet controller for primary and secondary ports. But when I try to pull up the device ID in windows, I go to control panel, system, device manager, it says I have the nVidia nforce controller. For my device ID, I have a very long string of number (Sorry, I am not at my home computer right now so can't get the ID). How can I tell for sure which one I have. Also, if you guys could provide any links for possible fixes, I would greatly appreciate it. I have some links, but not sure if they are the correct fix.

Here are my specs:

Foxconn C51XEM2AA- 8EKRS2H AM2 motherboard

AMD AM2 4200+

2GB Ram in two sticks

2 Nvidia 7600GT in SLi

Audigy 2zs

Thanks for any help you can provide.

When you go to Device Manager -> Network Adapters, click on the entry for the ethernet device. Get Properties and then click on the Details tab. Your vendor id is the 4 characters following VEN_ and your device id is the 4 characters following the DEV_.

To decode the vendor id/device id, go here: http://pci-ids.ucw.cz/iii/

Find your vendor id and click on the link for it. Then find your device id.

A quick Google for your motherboard says you have an nForce 590 (nForce 5) ethernet device. You may have problems getting this to work, but you can try the driver that works for nForce4: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...ost&p=82071

BTW, you probably won't get your Audigy sound to work.
