fernando478
HDMI audio usually requires a few things in DSDT: 1) that the iGPU section injects a reference to hda-gfx 2) a device HDAU section If you already use a patched DSDT, please post it. If you do not, extract it your raw table from BIOS and post it too. If you have all that but no HDMI audio, you may have to switch to patched AppleHDA. To that effect, start by using DPCIManager to identify your codec. Hello Hervé. I do not use patched DSDT since I use Clover UEFI as bootloader. I have HDMI audio by adding the AppleALC.kext to the EFI/Clover/Kexts/other folder. But to make it work I have to eliminate the AppleHDADisabler.kext and the VoodooHDA.kext and restart the computer. What do not want is having to be deleting and copying the VoodooHDA kexts whenever you want to use the HDMI audio, if possible, of course. fernando478
You cannot have patched AppleHDA and VoodooHDA at the same time; it's either or. HDMI audio is usually supported with patched AppleHDA, much less frequently with VoodooHDA (or you need a very recent version). You stil have not advised on the codec built in the ALC3228 chipset. Ok, Thanks for reply I will continue working in this.
