berggrendottk
I have installed os x and are using the windows bootscreen to switch between os x and xp, my win xp install is in harddrive 0 partition 3 and my osx in harddrive 0 partition 2. Partition 1 is just used as storage. I edited my boot.ini file using the disc0 option and it works great, exept one thing, when i choose os x in the win bootscreen it sends me to darwin bootscreen, wich in turn goes straight back to the windows bootscreen, unless i press enter (for boot options within darwin bootscreen) and choose the right partition there. Now my question is if there are any way to tell the darwin bootscreen wich partition to boot as default just like in the windows bootscreen, cause that way i wouldn't have to make thoose unneccesary keybord pressings (yhea, i know, i lazy) =). Now could i do this in the boot.ini file straight away or is there any way to edit some file for the darwin bootscreen? anyway, great community, i'll add a post to the success section later cause i think i used an install method that isn't posted there before on hardware not posted in the hardware section, yeah! =) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/3167-windows-darwin-boot-screen/ Share on other sites
Vman
you don't need to edit the boot.ini file. just go into diskpart in windows, select disk 0, list partition, select the partition os x is on, and then type in active. works fine for me. easiest method.
