phi777
Just wanted to say, that the Acer K272HUL is recognised as a NTSC TV because of false EDID overrides in /System/Library/Display/Contents/Resources/Overrides/DisplayVendorID-472/DisplayProductID-3dd file in Sierra build 16A319. Just deleting this file (and rebooting) makes the display a normal 60HZ Computer Screen (the EDID is too long) it should be the attached file (I didn't test it, because deleting it was enough, so I hope I did not make any mistakes entering the number...). Maybe they fixed it by now, because I heard today Sierra 16A323 GM is out, along with Clover 3751 Just for search reference: DisplayProductID (in IOreg) is 0x3dd and DisplayVendorID 0x472 acer-edid.tiff DisplayProductID-3dd.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/315345-acer-k272hul-display-is-recognised-as-ntsc-tv-in-sierra-1012/ Share on other sites
dandalf
Have you tried deleting it in the actual release? How do you delete a system file? dandalf
Nevermind, figured it out. Had to disable System Integrity Protection. https://developer.apple.com/library/content/documentation/Security/Conceptual/System_Integrity_Protection_Guide/ConfiguringSystemIntegrityProtection/ConfiguringSystemIntegrityProtection.html Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/315345-acer-k272hul-display-is-recognised-as-ntsc-tv-in-sierra-1012/#findComment-2280985 Share on other sites
