As the Title states, I am having a bit of a problem installing EC onto some old Mainboard I had laying around.

CPU: i5-2400

Mainboard: Asus Z68-V Pro/Gen3

RAM: 4 GB DDR3-1066

GraFX: either nVidia 8800GTS 640MB or an ATI HD6970 (dunno which would be best at present)

HD: WD3000HLFS (300GB VelociRaptor)

any more information to the hardware, just ask an I will answer.

I have used two main ways to create the install media (USB Stick Intenso 16GB),

1. latest Glover from GitHub ( r3696)...

2. Pandoras Box...

both with the same results, boots into Glover Bootloader, but install halts at a reset.

research indicates that the plist (original untouched Glover) may be wacky, and to tell you the truth, I am stumped...

Kext used: FakeSMC, NullCPUPowerManagement, amd AppleIntelE1000e

So I am very thankful to anyone who may be able to help me fix the Config.Plist / DSDT, so that I can install "The Captain" (heave ho! ya scurvy landlubbers!)

attached: preboot.log and dumplog.txt (Glover F4 Dump about my hardware)

Edit: had to zip them cuz Forum software don't allow .log files to be uploaded... :(

Y.zip

nevermind... getting to the point of installing to a drive, but then says "Cannot verify APP" (or something of that kind) and breaks off installing...

guess I have to get me a damn credit card so that I can redownload the latest  OSX El Capitan Installer.APP from the Appstore ... :(

Edit:

K... circumvented the "Cannot verify APP" problem, in that I reverted the BIOS Date back to last year (15 Sep. 2015).

Tip: there are two ways of doing that, 1. in the BIOS itself and 2. over BASH with the DATE command...

it goes now as far as the "Preparing the Install" (slow as molasses), hangs a bit at 1 second left. Then at 0 Seconds left, thought it got stuck but if you view the screen carefully, somewhere there is a ghost like wheel icon (it's actually white but on the bright gray background one hardly sees it) that is moving...

Does a reset and ....... nada .... nothing .... ;(

Back into Glover, tried to install once again, breaks off with the dreaded "crossed circle"...

So finally got MacOSX EC installed...

booted up through the USB Stick, put in my credentials, etc. set it up...

did the After-Boot-Party with Clover again, e.g. installed the Bootloader, inserted Kexts, FakeSMC, etc. from the USB Stick (since that booted the installed OSX)...

turned the machine off... waited a bit... turned machine back on... "Can't find OS... Please insert a Bootmedium... yadayadayada"...

(Thank the powers that be, that I was already going bald, from all the hair pulling from frustration... well you get the idea)

now I am stuck fixing that damned BOOT issue...

PS: GParted shows EFI Partition as bootable/EPS... which is as it should be...

PSS: if you ever screw up your EFI Partition, e.g. under VMWare/VBox of your OSX Guest, by installing Glover BL on the OS drive, then just wipe the contents of the the EFI partition, and it should boot right back up.

Issue resolved... Thnx for all the great help!

In case, someone has a similar issue, in that booting through USB works and regular boot to HDD don't:

Just delete the EFI folder on the HDD/SSD and copy the one off of the USB stick to replace it...
