hi guys

Newbie here so bear with me

so i picked up a dell 6230 a few days ago and after some research decided to install el capitan on it

the laptop already had windows 7 and a recovery partition on it and a system partition of 300mb

i shrank the win 7 partition and made a ntfs to install osx on

i then converted my disk from non gpt to gpt using aomei partition software

i then prepared a usb installer using chris111's app v7 (took ages)

i then ensured UEFI was selected in my bios and booted from clover usb

installed el capitan on the now HFS reformatted spare ntfs partition from earlier

installed clover with options selected , ie rc scripts etc

i didnt choose boot0af or boot0ss for bootloader option

PROBLEM:

i cannot boot my installed el capitan partition without plugging in the clover usb and selecting my el capitan partition

Tried adding boot arguments in bios and using easy UEFI still no go

can anyone point me in the right direction ??

when i was adding boot arguments all i see if EFI/EFI64 etc nothing else , on other guides i have seen other folders which i am missing but i cant be sure

i would love someone to solve this as i feel i have done well to get this far without breaking my win 7 install (Which always boot by default unless i use clover USB)

I want to keep my win 7 working but just solve the annoyance of having to use the USB to boot in to clover bootloader and my osx install.

ps any help to get the wifi and sound to work would also be appreciated

sorry about long post

Yeah I have fake smc.kext is there any way to check to be sure ?

Also after hours I got sound to work by saying its layout is was 3 in clover config and updating config file but now my Ethernet which was working has stopped assume a kext has gone missing

Any ideas of booting to clover bootloader without the USB attached ? Should I install to UEFI in clover instead of esp ??
