I followed the native dual boot guide and had succesfully installed os x. The problem I have arises when I boot up and Acronis OS selector tries to load, i recieve a message saying files are missing and to reinstall acronis os selector. So I changed my active partition to my osx partition and can boot to it just fine. (I am typing this in safari right now.) Anyways, what I need help with is fixing my system bootup in general. Once again, I cannot load windows right now due to the error acronis gives me but can use os x just fine. Please advise.

Making osx part. active, you boot with the darwin bootloader. Can you see a menu from which to chose windows? If not, try hitting F8 just as you boot (continue until you see the darwin bl menu).

That way you'll see that darwin bl can handle osx and windows; you then can chose whether you still want acronis's bootloader (aoss).

If you don't want to use it and go with darwin's bl, then uninstall aoss (from acronis diskdirector).

If you still want to use aoss, then you can try to repair it from disk director by reinstalling it.

While you're at it, do make the acronis boot media, a bootable cd that includes a bootable version of disk director and some tools to reactivate/repair aoss in case of problems. (and if you have trueimage installed, the boot cd can also contain a bootable version of trueimage)

Consult the user manual for details.
