Can't Login To App Store In OS X Yosemite (In VMware)

Hi friends,

I've successfully installed Mac OS X Yosemite in VMWare Workstation 12 on my PC. I've also installed the VMWare Tools in Yosemite. The OS is working fine with good speed.

 

However, I'm unable to install any other software or install updates using App Store. When I try to login using my Apple account for App Store, it gives me this error "Your device or computer could not be verified. Contact support for assistance".

 

My PC Specs:

• Intel Core i5 1.7GHz (upto 2.4GHz) Processor
• Intel original motherboard
• nVidia GeForce 820M & Intel HD Graphics 
• Microsoft Windows 10
• 8GB RAM

 

Any help or pointers would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I recommend googling "hackintosh app store fix" and trying one of the methods. Long story short, your VM is likely using an ethernet port other than "en0". You need to get the VM to use en0. There are a few ways to accomplish that, all documented.
