DaveyBoy20o2 Posted August 15, 2005 Share Posted August 15, 2005 hey, I dd'd the image perfectly to my HP ZV5000 laptop and it crashes on com.apple.iokit.USBUserClient in normal mode and in safemode, anyone know how to bypass or where to go to delete that thing? i dont care if I lose USB support I just wanna play Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
squeeky Posted August 16, 2005 Share Posted August 16, 2005 You could boot in single user mode. Then mount the volume as read write (the instrcutions for doing this will be on screen after you boot in the mode). Once you're there, just go to /System/Library/Extensions and move the undesired extension to some other place. Don't delete it, you might want to get it back. Also check your bios for possible USB options, like legacy support or more subtle things like "Enable USB Keyboard". I had to disable the "enable usb keyboard" in order to get my usb recognized ...
