My computer specs:

MSI MSI Gaming Z170A GAMING M5 LGA 1151

EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti

Intel Core i7-6700K

SAMSUNG 850 PRO 2.5" 256GB

G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB)

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to Hackintosh scene but I've been trying to figure out to get myself running.

I've done the following changes on my motherboard:

-Disabled VT-D.

-Disabled CFG-Lock.

-Enabled XHCI Handoff.

-Set to UEFI instead of Legacy/UEFI.

Options I didn't see in the MSI bios to disable were Secure Boot Mode, IO Serial Port or any means to disable USB 3.0. So these are not there.

This image will show the error I have been getting: http://i.imgur.com/jtxEYoi.jpg

The error is System uptime in nanoseconds: 20660576409

I have attached the config file to this message that I am currently using.

Some help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Coolflare,

Nice specs you got there.

It would be nice if you could upload your EFI as well, so we would know your kexts and drivers you put in.

It would also be easier to help you if you joined the chat. It is much convenient.

When I delete my EFI and put your EFI I get this error message now. http://i.imgur.com/m1eY0Dk.jpg

I'm currently only using -v

If I boot normally without verbose it just goes to a black screen and says "was error, press any key

* Hit any key to continue *"

I see. let me upload another EFI for you.

See if this works. :)

Are you plugging your USB on the back of your computer on the motherboard. USB 2. Make sure you're not using your ASmedia ports.

Right now it looks like its loading but I had to use additional tags on it

-x -v nv_disable=1 GraphicsEnabler=Yes maxmem=4096 dart=0

Its at the installation screen for languages.

Is safe mode a bad means to install this?

You're mixing boot args. You didn't need to do all that. But ok.

Keep in mind, you'll need AGDP patching later.

Well I could cancel it and try another means.

I don't really know much about the different arguments. It was just a few I was trying in combination I found around the forums.

Just hoping that the maxmem=4096 doesn't means I'm forced to 4 GB of RAM only. lol..

But many thanks for all you done :) I never reached this far.

Well, get the install done and then hopefully it can be done cleaner after the install. :)

Alright, I set it up. My keyboard and mouse is working which is good.

But I noticed its only one screen.

Also my sound doesn't seem to be working. I have a basic USB speaker plugged in.

You need AGDPfix and you need web drivers.

Hey Dwarfy you are the best. You spent all night helping me. Enjoying Mac OS as we speak thanks to you!

I'm glad I could help. Enjoy your hack and post some benchmarks if you can. Other users with same build would probably love to see what you got. Maybe some GeekBench and Cinebench. :D
