themovieman Posted October 25, 2006 Share Posted October 25, 2006 I've been running Mac and XP just fine for ages. I use Acronis to pick which to boot in. All worked well for months, and then one day I couldn't boot into the Mac. I got a message that I've been unable to find anywhere on these forums. EBIOS read error: Media Error Block 28611 Sectors 64 This happens when I pick Mac in Acronis. Please could someone help me. This computer was made for me, so I really don't want to go to the trouble of reinstalling everything again... Please, anyone... Thanks in advance. p.s. Thanks in advance. if you can still enter xp, you can uninstall acronis from there, right before then, you will need to set your mac partition active so that you will use darwin to choose what to boot from.
