KristaffaH
Hello everyone. I have had a X99 build for almost a year now mainly for video editing for my gaming YT channel. It was built by following RampageDev's guide. My setup is: OS X 10.11.3 X99-UD4 5820K 32GB 2400MHz GTX 980ti Three 24" monitors Elgato Game Capture HD60 Xbox One I recently began streaming and its working as it should. I am streaming straight from the Elgato Game Capture software and it all works smooth 1080p 8Mbps 30/60 FPS, doesn't matter. Elgato released an update a while back implementing stream overlays (adding webcam, picture, text to your stream.) This is a very handy feature, but for some reason my hackintosh won't work with it. Streaming from my 15" MacBook Retina or 13" MacBook Retina with the new version all works fine, but as soon as I try to stream from my hackintosh it all goes south. I get an error stating that it can't generate 30FPS and the stream is falling behind, and this is even if I turn the settings down to 0,5 Mbps 360p stream. I can even turn of what they call "stream command" which is the overlay function and everything is back to normal again, even in the newest version. As soon as I turn "stream command" on again its back to error messages and lag. I have contacted Elgato asking for help, but since this problem only occurs on my Hackintosh its kind of out of their area of expertise so I thought I would ask here. I don't know if this is a problem with my CPU or GPU. I run the latest NVIDIA Web Drivers, lates version of Clover, but it just won't do it. Bear in mind that this setup works very well with FCP X, Photoshop, games and streaming in general and has been running stable for almost a year. Could anyone help me in troubleshooting this? What do you need? Files, logs etc. Here is part of the console right around the time when I start streaming and it starts lagging: 04.04.2016 03.00.46,731 Game Capture HD[1128]: [03:00:46.731] VTCompressionSessionSetProperty signalled err=-12900 (kVTPropertyNotSupportedErr) (Unsupported property key (it's not in the SupportedPropertyDictionary)) at /Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/CoreMedia_frameworks/CoreMedia-1731.15.33/Sources/VideoToolbox/VTCompressionSession.c line 1883 04.04.2016 03.00.46,732 Game Capture HD[1128]: [03:00:46.732] VTCompressionSessionSetProperty signalled err=-12900 (kVTPropertyNotSupportedErr) (Unsupported property key (it's not in the SupportedPropertyDictionary)) at /Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/CoreMedia_frameworks/CoreMedia-1731.15.33/Sources/VideoToolbox/VTCompressionSession.c line 1883 04.04.2016 03.00.46,733 Game Capture HD[1128]: [03:00:46.733] VTCompressionSessionSetProperty signalled err=-12900 (kVTPropertyNotSupportedErr) (Unsupported property key (it's not in the SupportedPropertyDictionary)) at /Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/CoreMedia_frameworks/CoreMedia-1731.15.33/Sources/VideoToolbox/VTCompressionSession.c line 1883 04.04.2016 03.01.26,436 networkd[201]: __42+[NETAWDManager sharedAWDServerConnection]_block_invoke Created AWD server connection 0x7fd401c15980 with component ID 0x29 04.04.2016 03.01.26,000 syslogd[52]: ASL Sender Statistics 04.04.2016 03.01.26,437 networkd[201]: -[NETAWDManager reportStats:metricID:] AWDServerConnection newMetricContainerWithIdentifier failed for metric 2686985, server 0x7fd401c15980, not reporting: <AWDLibnetcoreStatsReport: 0x7fd401f129f0> { mbufStatisticsReport = { mbuf16KBTotal = 177; mbuf256BTotal = 1360; mbuf2KBTotal = 682; mbuf4KBTotal = 667; mbufDrainCount = 0; mbufMemReleased = 0; sockAtMBLimit = 0; sockMBcnt = 4823; }; networkdStatisticsReport = { fallbackConnectionCount = 0; totalConnectionCount = 72; totalSuccessfulConnectionCount = 65; }; reportReason = 1; } 04.04.2016 03.01.41,000 kernel[0]: process Game Capture HD[1128] thread 10342 caught burning CPU!; EXC_RESOURCE supressed due to audio playback Hope that anyone would take the time to try to help me with this.
