openbysource
Hello Friends, Today I installed osx 10.4.7 with combo update and SSE3 patch. Now when I boot my osx normally the login screen and the desktop comes all grabbled. I can't see anything properly. Only when I boot the system in safe mode (pressing shift + v during the darwin prompt). I get proper graphics (at resolution 1280x800). Now I have couple of questions: 1) How can I get proper graphics while booting the system normally ? See I have intel 950 GMA which is very well recognized by the osx ( i saw in system profiler). 2) My sound is not working ? In system preferences I see Intel High Definition Audio but in System Preferences > Sound I doesn't see anything in input as well as output. 3) When I saw my display/graphics chipset in system profiler it states Quartz extreme is Not supported. See for better reference I am pasting the output of System profiler for my Graphics/Displays Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950: Chipset Model: GMA 950 Type: VGA-Compatible Controller Bus: Built-In VRAM (Total): 256 MB Vendor: Intel (0x8086) Device ID: 0x27a2 Revision ID: 0x0003 Displays: Display: Resolution: 1280 x 800 Depth: 32-bit Color Built-In: Yes Core Image: Not Supported Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Quartz Extreme: Not Supported Display: Status: No display connected Please if anybody can provide some guidance regarding my above questions it will be very helpful.
