TLN Posted February 26, 2016 Share Posted February 26, 2016 Hello. I need an advice on buying a videocard. I want to run El Capitan on my ESXi box. Won't use this for 3d apps, but extra performance is always welcome. Prefer solution that will work OOB, and want to stick with ATi card. Need something with DP port, and something that suppots MST(HD6000 and up). I also have Radeon HD8490 card, but cannot get it to work with El capitan. If someone can point me how to do so, this would be great as well. Vic. You can add it in AMD6000Controller.kext and AMDRadeonX3000.kext (under AMDCaicosGraphicsAccelerator) + GraphicsEnabler=Yes (if you use Chameleon) or check Inject ATI in Clover. May be that's because I run Mac OS X on ESXi, but I don't think so. Maybe you have to play with some Clover dsdt fixes (FixDisplay, FixHPET, AddDTGP, NewWay, Fix_ADP1, AddPNLF, DeleteUnused). At least I don't see any Clover files(Should I?) I don't see any info related to Cacios in AMD6000Controller, however it's present in AMDRadeonX3000. I've edited <string> under <key>AMDCaciosGraphAccelerator</key>. Now I need to put this file back, correct? I guess this is not enough, to run this card. I ve tried clover app, but it says it's not compatible with El Capitan. Any ideas? How do I inject info about my card? But i'm running clean system, without Clover, and I'm unable to install it in Vmware ESXi?
