d1ch0t0my
Hi Everyone, *Specs* Z97X-SLI i5-4690k 32GB DDR3 2133 GForce Ram Samsung Evo 840 250GB SSD Intel HD 4600 - 2 displays Nvidia GT610 - 1 display So I finally decided to upgrade my build from Yosemite to El Capitan and unfortunately forgot the love/hate relationship that can go with getting all the hardware to play nice. I have installed using Clover and everything is working fine after some tweaking & patching...all but one issue. I have 3 displays set up - 2 connected to my onboard intel and 1 connected to my GT610. Well usually I do. Since installing 10.11.2 if I plug in my GT610 display it corrupts all displays with shudders, blinking and the like eventually ending in a kernel panic reboot. I have tried installing the Nvidia web drivers which stopped even being able to reach the login screen (reboot loop just before). Tried injecting Nvidia via Clover. Tried Nvidia on its own which stays at a black screen when graphics kick in but sounds like its booted properly. If I remove the GT610 from the board the system is rock solid. Intel graphics works fine. Does anyone have any suggestions that may help me overcome this last hurdle please? Thanks in advance! d1ch0t0my
Just wanted to report back on this. Been trying to troubleshoot it for days now and even went and bought myself a new EVGA Nvidia GeForce GT 740. Same problem. I have found that: 1. If I disable intel and boot with just Nvidia there is no problem. 2. If I plug in a monitor to IntelHD 4600 after successful boot it immediately flashes and kernel panics causing reboot. 3. If I boot with Intel plugged in (but not set as primary card in bios) it boots until about the login page, quick mouse cursor view and then reboots. 4. If I boot with the 2 Nvidia cards and Intel disabled it works fine and I can have 3 monitors. So its obviously a problem with the HD4600 on Capitan for my config but I don't know what the issue is. I've tried virtually every possible option of Clover - FixIntel etc but none change the above. If anyone has any ideas I'm all ears. Although I have all 3 monitors working its troubling that there is an issue I can't fix with the HD4600 here . Thanks.
