camera not working in vmware

hi, new user here, so please be gentle..

 

i want to install any mac os x on my windows laptop in a vmachine so that my kids can use it to facetime my iphone when im away at work. (i know we could buy an ipad etc etc... money!)

 

so far i have installed VMware Workstation 12 Player and installed vm image of os x 10.10. i installed the unlocker downloaded from here and installed the vmware tools once os is installed in the vm.

 

but no matter what i try, the os will not connect to my laptop webcam ... i get driver error.

 

my host os - windows 10 pro

laptop, cutom from pcspecialist - i76700, 8g ram, 2g gtx graphics

 

ive looking for downloads of mac os x "any" but cant find any. also i read somewhere it might be best to try os x lion???

 

any advise direction would be grestly recieved..

 

should i try virtualbox?

is it the vm or the os that wont connected to the camera?

 

is it even possible?
