Why it is happening?

  • 3 months later...

I was having this issue on my Z87MX-D3H motherboard. The general protection message seems to indicate that memory is corrupted. This was happening after sleep, and there's a really long thread over at the other place where people gave up and replaced the motherboard, after ruling out many other possible causes. This solved the issue for me as well, but now I have a problem which is probably unrelated.

Sorry, got a bit sidetracked. Seeing as you can't replace your motherboard, and seeing as you have quite a few third-party kernel extensions loaded, my advice would be to run a memory test, such as memtest86 (from a USB drive so you can test all memory), and try to reduce the number of third-party extensions.

Good luck!
