1233666666
Hey All, I just tried to install OSx86 but when I try to boot off the install with -v so I can see the errors, I can see various errors until it panics and stops. It looks like it's related to my Pioneer 111D. I've attached a photo of it, as I can't really copy it. I hope you can see it alright - if you can't, I'll try and type it all. Rammjet
SAM Multimedia means that the system is having trouble reading the DVD. You need to reburn the DVD at the slowest speed possible. If available, use a different brand or different type (dvd-r, dvd+r, dvd-rw, dvd+rw) of media. If that fails, then see if you can update the firmware of your optical drive. 1233666666
OK Thanks. Strange thing is it works fine in another LG drive. Oh well.
1233666666
Ok - I just burned it at the lowest speed, 4x, and I still get the errors. I just updated my DVD drives firmware to the latest and I still get the errors.

nekton
I have seen this before. Look in your BIOS and see if you have SATA-PATA compatible selected for the bus. If you have only SATA Enhanced selected, it causes problems with PATA DVR-111D drives.

All I can see for the IDE channel is "IDE DMA transfer access" and "IDE Prefetch Mode"
