Tauhshi Posted October 23, 2006 Share Posted October 23, 2006 Ok, I had a successful install of 10.4.7 (JaS) and got into OS X fine. Then, I shut down the computer. When I booted back into it, I got the infamous "still waiting for root device". I'm not sure what could be the problem. Specs: Acer Aspire 5102WLMi AMD Turion 64 x2 ML-32 TL-50 1.60Ghz (Dual Core) ATI Radeon Xpress 200M (1100) (RS482M) Chipset - Host Bridge Atheros AR5005G Wireless Network Adapter Realtek RTL8139 PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter [A/B/C] PS/2 Keyboard and Mouse Partition Table: Windows XP Pro (NTFS) Mac OS X Also, the Mac OS X is set as the default harddrove, meaning it boots into OS X without user interaction . . .
