Ok, I had a successful install of 10.4.7 (JaS) and got into OS X fine. Then, I shut down the computer. When I booted back into it, I got the infamous "still waiting for root device". I'm not sure what could be the problem.

Specs:

Acer Aspire 5102WLMi

AMD Turion 64 x2 ML-32 TL-50 1.60Ghz (Dual Core)

ATI Radeon Xpress 200M (1100) (RS482M) Chipset - Host Bridge

Atheros AR5005G Wireless Network Adapter

Realtek RTL8139 PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter [A/B/C]

PS/2 Keyboard and Mouse

Partition Table:

Windows XP Pro (NTFS)

Mac OS X

Also, the Mac OS X is set as the default harddrove, meaning it boots into OS X without user interaction . . .

Error:

IOPCCardBridge: :start failed

still waiting for root device
