Hey all,

Struggling to get my Intel HD4600 detected under El Capitan. I've got FakePCIID and FAKEPCIID_HD4600_HD4400 installed and have set up the fake ID as usual in my config.plist, but the card is still undetected (HD4600, 7MB) and no kext is loaded for it.

Card is 04168086 and have set to inject 04128086 which was fine under 10.10.

Attached is my config.plist

Any help with this much appreciated :)

(Machine is a Dell Precision M3800)

config.plist.txt

no config.plist attached, mate.

btw, are you using the very same things that it used to work in yose?

Sorry :) Attached now.

Yeah, same settings and even copied the old config.plist over just to make sure. Not sure how to diagnose why the kexts aren't loading.

No change-- Removed all traces of those kexts and still not detecting card.

I can't remember from my 10.10 install, but if the PCI ID is injected properly, should it show the injected value in 'System Report'? Current it shows 0416, and I'm trying to inject 0412 :

Chipset Model:    Intel HD Graphics 4600
  Type:    GPU
  Bus:    Built-In
  VRAM (Total):    7 MB
  VRAM (Dynamic, Max):
  Vendor:    Intel (0x8086)
  Device ID:    0x0416
  Revision ID:    0x0006
Kernel Extension Info:    No Kext Loaded
  Displays:
Display:
  Resolution:    1920 x 1080
  Pixel Depth:    32-Bit Color (ARGB8888)
  Main Display:    Yes
  Mirror:    Off
  Online:    Yes

the very same method should work in el capitan. so make sure you are not missing some detail.

you can also try inject proprieties in the dsdt. check the subforum graphics cards/intel for more details.
