RazerXXX
Hello, on El capitan my external drives show as internal. Do not know if that's related to the icon patch i applied via Clover Name AppleAHCIPort Find 45787465726E616C Replace with 496E7465726E616C is it normal? Attached is my config Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/308610-is-it-normal-external-drives-shows-as-internal/ Share on other sites
TheRacerMaster
I wouldn't recommend using that patch as it simply bruteforces all external drives as internal (as you've discovered). The correct approach would be to use an injector kext that makes your unsupported SATA chipset appear as internal. Your config isn't attached BTW. Mela quadrata
I installed El capitan in a external disk... the disk have two partitions, but are used as internal disk... The real internal disk where I have Yosemite installed it used by El capitan as his disk... Yosemite application's are costantly loaded by El capitan that confuses the twos application folder... If I put yosemite partition as private for spootlight, when I load Yosemite, it's private also for his spootlight...
