MarkW
I resized a couple of NTFS partitions using Acronis, and now OSX doesn't mount the one that was decreased in size. Anyone know why this is and what I can do about it? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/30788-resized-ntfs-partition-no-longer-mounts/ Share on other sites
Alex Oughton
Is it only OS X which can't read it? Does the drive mount OK under Windows? jrrjrr
Exact same thing happened to me. Acronis is doing something a little odd to the partition table that must be throwing OSX off. I needed to make an /etc/rc.local file with these lines in it to mount my Windows partition each time I boot. It is the only thing that works for me. mkdir /Volumes/WINDOWS mount -t ntfs /dev/disk0s1 /Volumes/WINDOWS Adjust the WINDOWS and the /dev/diskXsX to match your partition and the name you want it to mount under. Disk Utility can tell you the correct diskXsX to use.
