i make a simple tutorial how install Yosemite on the Alienware 17 r5

#Open cmd as admin put pc to sleep and wake up.

 cd C:\modified
fptw -f bios.bin -bios

in bios switch sata to AHCI, and video - display to PEG

I have almost everything working:

GTX 780m (work with any graphics card) with aceleration. and Nvidia web drivers too!

HDMI Video out

Sound (AppleHDA) with headphone jack workin,

USB 2.0 and 3.0

Wifi

Bluetooth

LAN

(not tested) card reader.

 

Not working:

HDMI AUDIO

Sleep

Microphone JACK.

some litte crashes with sound (jack headphones stop working, and make a creepy noise)

 

My system:

GTX 780m

intel core i7 2.8ghz 4900MQ

16gb ram

Realtek ALC3661 Audio

Broadcom BCM20702 Bluetooth 4.0 +HS USB Device

good call. can you post your full specs and name the kexts used in the tutorial? we may find a better solution for your sound problem.

Download the sendspace file!

inside you have all the kexts i use and on the EFI folder you find the dsdt (EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/Patch)

the sound work almost perfect!

i have volume control, the 2 jacks output working.

But the microphone jack not working, and some times the headphones top working after make a lound and creepy sound.

I'm not a good fan of voodoohda, the sound is never good and not get volume control workin.

if you can help me with the litte fix for the sound and make the hdmi audio workin.

i will be grateful!
