I got OS X 10.4.7 to run, everything works great, but the only problem I have is that after 10 - 15 minutes or so, I get this grey screen (much like the blue-screen in Windows) but it looks a-lot prettier, it says in 3 different languages that I need to restart my computer. Then it explains the 2 methods of HOW to restart it (1, holding the power button, 2. press reset key)

I'm running Asrock Conroe945G-DVI, with E6300, I installed the GMA900 along with 10.4.7 intel combo update, and SSE3, and I got the onboard LAN to work by installing a patch.

anyone have any clue why it would just asks me to restart?

Also, if I don't press anything, nothing happens, pretty much like the blue-screen in windows!

anyone knows how to view the 'log'

OSX keeps a lot of logs.

Go to the Utilities folder and find Console. Run it and click the Logs button in the toolbar.

Look at the console.log and the system.log. Look at the timestamps in the first column to find the time that it crashed.

The console.log may not go back far enough. There are archived console.log's. Click "/Library/Logs" -> Console -> 501

The list of console.log's is from current to oldest, so start with the 2nd one and work down.

is happening to me as well when I leave it unattended.

I shut off all the power saver stuff. since osx is trying to put the computer & the harddisks in sleep..

after that it doesnt give me a panic anymore.

Hope this helps

That's a good idea, OS X's powersaving features sometimes have issues...mine will just shut off when it tries to sleep. Open up System Preferences and go to 'Energy Saver,' then just turn off anything in there, hopefully that helps.

okay. so i turned off the energy saver stuff, but I guess that's not the cause of the problem, cuz it happens when I'm using the computer... so I don't see why it'd want to sleep while I'm operating it.

anyways, I found the log, but I realized that there's no information about when the 'grey-screen' shows up tho... there's only boot-up information, anyhow, here's the log, maybe someone can see something out of it?
