is there a quick way to make a bootable darwin CD, that would allow me to boot from my HD (like the install DVD does)? I want a CD so i can put it in my CD drive, and keep my DVD drive free. I've set my partition to active and it still does not boot directly from the HD. And I'm not able to boot to windows to do anything, since I don't have windows or any other OS on this box

Try this to get your HD working and get rid of the dvd. Read the whole thread first. It worked for me.

It could be good to have a bootable cd though. Not sure how to do that.
