mnfesq
I have two mini pci-e slots on my laptop's motherboard. I had assumed that one was for wifi and the other for bluetooth. Using the slots in this manner worked for me so long as I had a combo wifi/bt card in the wifi slot. Due to bluetooth problems I was having with El Capitan, I checked the service manual for my laptop and learned that bluetooth works only from the wifi/bt card and not the second bt card in the other pci-e slot. The second slot is for wireless audio, not bluetooth. I put a wireless audio card in the slot and it shows up in my system information. My question is this: Does it do anything in OS X? Does this function to connect audio to a bluetooth speaker or other wireless audio device or is this just a Windows feature that does not exist in OS X? Here's the system info: Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/307065-wireless-audio-on-mac/ Share on other sites
IronManJFF
It connects to a HP receiver. Unless you have something showing up in the Sound Control Panel, then it is not a class compliant device and it requires drivers to work properly. They don't seem to have drivers for anything but Windows User Manual Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/307065-wireless-audio-on-mac/#findComment-2152265 Share on other sites
mnfesq
Check this out, it must work. Now I need to see if I have any devices that are capable of receiving the wireless audio. Thanks for your reply. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/307065-wireless-audio-on-mac/#findComment-2152269 Share on other sites
