Goodie
I have a 60GB Fat32 partition to share between Mac and XP. The problem is one sided: every file I copy from XP to this partition can be read and seen by Mac OsX; but not every file I copy from Mac OsX to this partition can be read and seen by XP. So I thought to try Disk Utility to repair this partition, but then it reports error saying "Repairing disk failed with error Could not unmount disk". Btw, it is possible this is because Mac has some problems with combination DS3 + WD Hdd. I have Gigabyte DS3 and E6300. Any suggestions? Thanks Solved, it was a stupid thing - i had some files open from this partition. Though Disk utility would be smart enough to check this Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/30675-disk-utility-could-not-unmount-disk/ Share on other sites
Goodie
I did the disk repair, it found some FSinfo error and fixed it. Then I booted in XP and all files were ok. Then I booted back in Mac OsX and Disk Utility found the same error as before - FSInfo. Does that mean I would have to run Disk Utility and repair every time I boot in Mac and was previously in XP? Is it possible to write a script to do this every time i login? thanx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/30675-disk-utility-could-not-unmount-disk/#findComment-212623 Share on other sites
