foster Posted May 2, 2015 Share Posted May 2, 2015 Issue occured when I updated from 10.10.2 to 10.10.3, I had to change SMBIOS to iMac 14,x (cant remember which I used) to get the desktop to show up. In OS X yosemite 10.10.0 to 10.10.2 system had no issues with SMBIOS set for Mac Pro 6,1 (2013) problem started after upgrading to beta and final versions of 10.10.3. Is this an issue with me using the HDMI port and should I try a DVi-D to HDMI adapter? System specs: Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H, i7-4770K, 16GB DDR3, Gigabyte nVidia GTX650 1GB, 120GB SSD and 1TB as fusion drive, TP-Link 4800 Wifi. charliebounce Posted May 6, 2015 Share Posted May 6, 2015 This is an issue with the board id that you are using in your SMBIOS. You can change the board id to that of iMac14,3 whilst the rest of the SMBIOS settings can remain as MacPro6,1.
