As far as I know, your wifi chipset isn't compatible with Mac OS X. I bought a new wifi card because at first my wifi chipset wasn't compatible either, so now I use atheros ar5b195, I patched my dsdt and used a BTfirmwareuploader kext so, Wifi and Bluetooth are working like a charm for me. falanx Posted April 19, 2015 Share Posted April 19, 2015 If you want to enable the new features as Handoff and Continuity in Yosemite I think you need a BT 4.0 LE device which is only in Broadcom and is a little bit pricey and I don't it's worth it. Maybe the SMS function works in older bluetooth chipsets, I don't know exactly. But if you only need wifi this isn't a thing that should bother you.
