There is an easy way using VMware Fusion. Use Fusion from the Mac desktop to open Windows explorer, and open any windows folder you want to save the file to. Then simply save your file to the Mac desktop, and drag it over into the windows folder you have opened. Bingo! No problem.

i have a program that let's me write to ntfs in tiger (i'm think it works on leopard too). it's macfuse: i needed to install the core and then the ntfs files. that really worked for me.

 

or you can just mount your drive as an network drive (both tiger and leopard can write to ntfs network drives)
