Invisible Ink
Running OS 10.4.5, a new Built-in Ethernet port is detected each time I open Network config on system preference panel and each time I change something i my network port configuration. If I try to delete a port, two new ones are immediatly created. So now I have Bluetooth port (ok), Firewire port (ok), a dozen ore more "Built-In Ethernet Port" !!!! I enter my configuration, then press "Apply now" but once again a new port is created wich has NOT the config I just entered but the default DHCP. Once I succeed in configuration, each time I reboot that configuration is lost but new-created ports remains. My network adapter is an integrated Realtek RLT8139. This appears in the console log when i enter the network preferences: "2006-10-18 12:04:41.754 System Preferences[371] Error - PortScanner - setDevice, device == nil! Any suggestion?
