switch
I purchased a Netgear GA311 gigabit ethernet card yesterday, having checked the HCL. I installed it and it was instantly recognised by OSX.... but I can't get it to connect to my router / the internet It was initially set to use DHCP, but mysteriously only ever obtained an external IP address (which didn't work). So I manually configured it with the same settings as I have in both windows and linux, and the network properties page now shows it as 'connected to the internet', but it isn't - I can't even ping my router (10.0.0.2). Any ideas?? Suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/3032-netgear-ga311-connectivity-issues/ Share on other sites
switch
Ah ha - sorted. Booting tiger without the 'platform=x86pc' option seems to have done the trick, albeit at a performance cost.
