annabel82
Hello everyone, i am looking to upgrade my GFX card. My current setup is: Asus P8H67-M 2500k 16GB 120GB Sandisk SSD 2TB Data 1TB Critical Backup GF560Ti running a 24" @ 1920x1200 (DVI) and another 24" @ 1920x1080 (DVI) HD3000 running a little third 19" @ 1440x900 for IRC/Whatever Yosemite 10.10.1 i wish to upgrade my GFX card. i am planning on a a Geforce 760 2GB, specifically: http://www.ebuyer.com/642889-zotac-gtx-760-oc-2gb-gddr5-dual-dvi-hdmi-displayport-pci-e-graphics-zt-70405-10p or http://www.ebuyer.com/519311-msi-gtx-760-twinfrozr-oc-2gb-gddr5-dual-dvi-hdmi-displayport-pci-e-n760-tf-2gd5-oc Dual video (preferably via some combination of DVI or HDMI) is very important to me, would anyone be so kind as to advise if: :- Dual out is possible on either of these cards? :- What combination of output was used? :- Did it work natively? :- If not using which Nvidia driver or which hacked kext? :- Does one brand of 760 or one size (1GB vs 2GB) work better than another? :- A different card in a similar or slightly lower price bracket that definitely will give me dual output relatively easily? Thanks in advance x Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/303123-upgrading-my-gfx-card-and-need-dual-monitors/ Share on other sites
vusun123
I use MSI GTX 650Ti OC 1GB, it gives me dual monitors support on both DVI ports. Hope that's a reference to you Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/303123-upgrading-my-gfx-card-and-need-dual-monitors/#findComment-2092184 Share on other sites
jamiethemorris
If you're getting a 760, I would go for the 1gb for normal usage (if it's significantly cheaper) or if you plan on gaming go for the 2gb. You should be able to use all ports on that card no problem. annabel82
Just to confirm, Zotac 2GB 760 GTX does indeed give dual out natively and is accelerated. i have only tested both DVI ports currently. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/303123-upgrading-my-gfx-card-and-need-dual-monitors/#findComment-2093771 Share on other sites
