PGHammer21B
I have Yosemite GM up and running; I'm now looking at future hardware upgrades. However, I have a nasty dilemma. The GPU I would *rather* get, the ASUS STRIX GTX 970 is, like most GTX 970s, apparently made at least partially made from Unobtanium - almost no retailer (or even e-tailer, such as Amazon) can keep them in stock. (For that same reason, it has doubtless not been tasted with any DP of Yosemite yet). One alternative is the ROG Striker GTX 760 (also from ASUS). It is physically no larger than the STRIX - however, it is hungrier for power (requires one six-pin and one eight-pin power feed - the STRIX needs only the eight-pin). It includes a Molex adapter for one of them (which is the only reason I can use it - I have one 6+2-pin power feed, and spare Molexes to drive the other via adapter). The Striker is also in stock. Is that the Striker uses Kepler and advantage or disadvantage for Yosemite?
