I installed Jas 10.4.7 ISO to an IDE drive in my system and then uprgaded to 10.4.8

When running OSX I can "see" and browse files on my XP drive (a SATA drive) but when I am in XP I cannot browse files on the Mac IDE drive. I tried to browse the Mac drive using:

MacDrive 6

TransMac 7.5

These apps indicate that they can read Mac drives (in product description) but neither one lets me browse files on the Mac Drive (the IDE drive does not show up as an available drive to browse).

BUT both both these apps display the IDE drive as one of the drives available to be formated (so they can "see" it but apprently just don't recognize it????). In XP you can also see the drive in Disk Administrator (So XP "knows it is there" and so do these apps. Why can't they see files on it?

My MB has ability to choose Boot Drive (No Boot Manager software is being used)

I don't know about Transmac, but with MacDrive, you should have the latest release. Also, if you have ever installed Alcohol, it installs some files in Windows system folders that interfere with the operation of MacDrive. Removing Alcohol won't remove the offending files. You have to track them down and remove them manually.
