Video Problem Possible quicktime issue?

Ok so I finally got my Alienware 17 working. The graphics card (780m) works perfectly, however if I use videos on Safari, videos on XBMC, or videos on Quicktime it displays a weird purple screen with broken images where the video should be. I know it's not a graphics card issue because if I use Chrome, XBMC on Windows Parallels, or VLC player it works just fine. In fact it works really well.

 

I do plan on posting a tutorial later for my Alienware. I literally have everything working, but that issue is kinda annoying and I would rather figure out how to fix it and then do the tutorial so others don't have the same issue. Yes, you can use other programs, but it would be great to not have to just in case. If you open the wrong file and it launches one of the programs I stated(mostly quicktime) then it actually freezes everything but the mouse, which is weird.

 

Anyways, has anyone else had this type of issue? If I get it again I will take a video or picture, but I would prefer not to have to redo it. I hate my computer freezing. Any good way to troubleshoot this or has anyone had the issue and been able to fix it?

 

Also weird thing a bit of the broken images are not actually part of the videos. For some reason it's like a bioshock icon that seems to float around. That image has to come from somewhere.
