Or when i find a 10.4.8 download do i need to completely install it again urgh.... wondergod Posted October 13, 2006 Share Posted October 13, 2006 some of the apple software updates you can do...the major ones like 10.4.6 to 10.4.7 or .7 to .8 you need a patched version... java's ok....itunes might want to make sure you have sse3 some sse2 users have had trouble with new itunes... Rammjet Posted October 13, 2006 Share Posted October 13, 2006 Software Update is safe for applications, Java and Quicktime (although some people have had problems with QT 7.1.3). Never install OS updates from Software Update. You need to install patched updates.
